Assistant Director, Microsoft Azure Investment Specialist (GDS)

About the role

EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is looking for an Assistant Director to act as the Microsoft Azure Investment Specialist within its Global Alliance and Ecosystem Relationship Program. The role works with the Global Alliance Commercial and Functional Alliance Directors to grow the investment received from Microsoft, covering the Azure solution portfolio and helping EY take part in the program across member firm locations. It reports to the GDS Microsoft Operations Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the alliance partner and its commercial and functional leadership to interpret new programs, plan how EY will leverage them and define repeatable execution processes.
• Build a deep understanding of Microsoft's partner investment programs for user-based business services (Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Copilot) and their commercial applicability.
• Drive enablement and execution of alliance investment programs across regions, aligning with global strategy and engaging regional stakeholders such as service line leaders, partner teams and market enablement leads.
• Act as a subject matter resource and escalation support for sales and delivery teams across sectors and regions.
• Support investment reporting and performance management: collaborate with Global Commercial and Alliance Relationship Directors on executive reporting, and maintain dashboards, trackers and executive summaries on investment health and performance.
• Analyse trends across solution area investments and recommend improvements to processes, governance and go-to-market impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Technology or Finance; postgraduate degree preferably an MBA (Business or Finance).
• 12+ years of experience in relevant technology and professional services environments.
• Experience collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders in a virtual environment across geographies.
• Preferred: experience supporting US market priorities or comparable regional priorities, and exposure to Microsoft ecosystem programs such as Azure, Copilot, AI Business Solutions, Cloud & AI Platforms or Security.
• Preferred: experience in alliance management, co-sell motions, co-investment programs, solution area funding, marketplace offerings or technology partner ecosystems, and in a Big Four, global system integrator, professional services, consulting or technology-led environment.

Required skills

• Proficient understanding of how Microsoft's Azure partner programs are executed.
• Experience operationalizing complex partner program requirements, processes, reporting, compliance and portal management.
• Ability to advise senior business leaders and influence stakeholders in matrixed structures.
• Strong English at negotiation level, with strong influencing and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, strong follow-through and a continuous improvement mindset.
