Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation Consultant

About the role

The Technology and Transformation for the Region (TTR) team at the IDB Group is seeking a motivated, proactive and client‑centric consultant to design, develop and implement Artificial Intelligence (AI) digital solutions that support the strategic priorities of its public‑sector clients across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Key responsibilities

• Translate operational needs of sector teams into AI‑enabled digital solutions.
• Ensure technical fit between AI solutions and business objectives.
• Integrate adoption and sustainability practices into solution delivery.
• Oversee development and implementation of digital solutions tailored to institutional and sector‑specific contexts.
• Exercise independent technical judgment, including recommending against solutions when evidence does not support their use.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in supporting the design, development and implementation of AI digital solutions.
• Strong client‑centric mindset with ability to work closely with government and public‑institution partners.
• Ability to provide independent technical advice and make evidence‑based recommendations.
