Architecture ASIC Engineer

About the role

Marvell is seeking an Architecture ASIC Engineer to join its Architecture Coherent DSP team. You will contribute to the design, simulation, implementation, and validation of high‑performance DSP ASICs used in coherent optical communications, LiDAR, and radar systems.

Key responsibilities

• Research technical literature on communications, coherent systems, and radar technologies.
• Develop Matlab and Python simulators to assess DSP architecture performance.
• Maintain and extend in‑house C++ simulation tools.
• Propose efficient coherent DSP solutions for LiDAR and radar applications.
• Create presentation material to support technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Interpret customer requirements for coherent optical systems and translate them into concrete design decisions.
• Design and evaluate innovative signal‑processing algorithms suitable for CMOS implementation.
• Model coherent systems at various abstraction levels using Matlab, C++, and Python.
• Define, implement, and execute functional verification and validation plans.
• Document designs thoroughly and present/defend technical choices to customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience with signal‑processing theory or digital communications.
• Strong theoretical background in signal theory, digital signal processing, and physics.
• Solid foundation in mathematics and stochastic processing concepts.
