Application Engineer – Hyperion Financial Management

About the role

The Application Engineer will join Chevron Global Business Services in Buenos Aires, providing end‑to‑end support for Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) within the Finance IT Operations team. You will ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of HFM applications that underpin critical financial close and reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support for HFM, covering data integration, report generation, system maintenance, and financial close activities.
• Collaborate with IT and finance teams to translate business requirements into functional enhancements for HFM.
• Support acquisitions, divestments, and internal/external audit requirements.
• Execute regular system maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and configuration changes.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of HFM processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Assist in designing and implementing new features and enhancements for HFM applications.
• Deliver training and ongoing support to end‑users on HFM and related tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience in application engineering with a focus on Hyperion Financial Management, its architecture, modules, and functionalities.
• Strong knowledge of data integration, consolidation, and reporting processes.
• Experience with Oracle EPM suite (FCCS, PBCS, Hyperion Planning, FDME) and financial management processes such as budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation.
• Hands‑on experience integrating HFM with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and performing performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Ability to create and maintain complex financial reports using Hyperion Reports, Smart View, and similar tools.
• Solid understanding of metadata structures, dimensions, and hierarchies in Oracle EPM applications.
