AP & Sales Tax Analyst (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

We are seeking an AP & Sales Tax Analyst to join our remote team supporting a diverse portfolio of U.S. clients. The role blends day‑to‑day accounts payable operations with multi‑state sales tax compliance, ensuring smooth financial processes and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and record invoices using Bill.com, Beanworks, QuickBooks, and Odoo.
• Track invoice approvals, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage timely payments.
• Prepare AP aging reports to aid cash‑flow management and payment scheduling.
• Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual U.S. sales and use tax returns.
• Initiate electronic tax payments to meet state and local deadlines.
• Maintain databases tracking filing statuses, nexus thresholds, and jurisdiction requirements.
• Monitor sales volumes to identify economic nexus changes.
• Research and respond to tax notices, inquiries, and penalty assessments.
• Stay current on tax regulation changes and support ongoing compliance efforts.

Required profile

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, tax, or finance.
• Hands‑on experience with U.S. sales tax processes and filing across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and follow established processes.
