AI Engineering Lead – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

CoPilot Innovations, a subsidiary of The Plumtree Group, is seeking an AI Engineering Lead to drive the technical direction of AI projects across multiple client accounts. This hands‑on leadership position combines building production‑ready AI systems with coaching and mentoring engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and ship end‑to‑end AI applications covering GenAI, agentic AI, computer vision, and automation.
• Provide technical leadership for AI initiatives across several accounts, ensuring scalable, secure, enterprise‑grade solutions.
• Review solution architectures, enforce best practices, and oversee cloud deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
• Coach engineers through code reviews, one‑on‑ones, and personalized growth plans.
• Define and propagate AI‑first software development standards, MLOps/LLMOps processes, and observability practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of AI/ML engineering experience, including at least 2 years leading or mentoring engineers.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain AI trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to deliver production‑grade AI systems in a remote, distributed environment.
