AI-Assisted Code Analyst (Java | Spring Boot | AI Tools)

About the role

Talan is seeking an AI-Assisted Code Analyst to join its engineering team. In this position you will combine modern software engineering practices with AI‑powered development tools to analyse, optimise and refactor Java and Spring Boot applications, reducing technical debt and improving overall code quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop technical solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Analyse, review and optimise Java and Spring Boot codebases for scalability, maintainability and performance.
• Apply best‑coding practices to reduce technical debt and enhance code quality.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Devin or similar to accelerate code analysis, refactoring and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to identify performance bottlenecks and propose improvements.
• Support backend and frontend development activities following modern engineering standards.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth software delivery.
• Document technical solutions and changes using JIRA, Confluence and related tools.

Required profile

• Strong background in Java development with experience in Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools and automated code analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑disciplinary engineering environment.
