Accounting Analyst

About the role

We are an outsourced accounting and fractional finance partner helping high‑growth companies. As an Accounting Analyst you will own core accounting operations for a portfolio of US‑based clients, ensuring clean books, timely closes and clear communication.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close for assigned clients, including reconciliations, adjusting entries and delivery of financial statement packages.
• Maintain the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP and international best practices.
• Prepare P&L and balance‑sheet variance analysis with clear explanations.
• Create close journal entries with proper accounting treatment and documentation.
• Run end‑to‑end AP workflows: vendor onboarding, invoice processing and payments using Ramp and Bill.com.
• Process payroll for clients via Gusto and/or QBO Payroll, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Serve as the daily point of contact for client queries, providing timely and accurate responses.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement fixes such as templates, automations or checklists.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of progressive accounting, audit or tax experience, preferably at a Big Four or high‑growth firm.
• Strong professional written and verbal English; comfortable leading client calls and writing summaries.
• Proactive problem‑solver who documents fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Ability to quickly adopt new tools and work efficiently in ambiguous environments.
• Deadline‑driven, organized and consistently reliable.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, including revenue recognition and balance‑sheet accounting.
• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks Online, Gusto, Ramp and Bill.com (NetSuite or Xero a plus).
• Advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
