Technical Lead – Business Intelligence

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Technical Lead to drive a focused Business Intelligence engagement for a North American enterprise client. In this delivery‑leadership position you will own a moderate‑complexity workstream, set technical direction, and ensure successful end‑to‑end delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver Power BI solutions, including data model, semantic layer, and reporting architecture.
• Build and optimise data transformation pipelines using PySpark, ensuring performance and reliability at scale.
• Engage directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate trade‑offs, and align on scope and priorities.
• Lead a moderate‑complexity project from planning through execution and stakeholder communication with minimal oversight.
• Apply disciplined version‑control practices using Git throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Translate business questions into clear, well‑structured BI deliverables for technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience delivering BI and data solutions, including time in a technical lead or senior role.
• Strong, demonstrable experience with Power BI, data modelling, and report/dashboard design.
• Hands‑on expertise with PySpark for data processing and transformation.
• Proficiency with Git and modern collaborative development workflows.
• Proven ability to independently engage business stakeholders and lead moderate‑complexity projects.
• Fluent English (C1 level) for written and spoken communication with North American stakeholders.
