Senior AI Engineer (SSR/SR)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior/Staff AI Engineer to join a fast‑growing AI startup that automates back‑office operations. The platform builds AI agents that read invoices, validate data, interact with management systems, and generate insights, dramatically reducing manual workload for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy end‑to‑end features from specification to production.
• Define success metrics and measure real business impact of AI solutions.
• Collaborate directly with customers to validate concepts, prototype, and iterate quickly.
• Ensure quality and reliability through testing, observability, and rollback strategies.
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) aggressively and share learnings with the team.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience shipping production software.
• Strong end‑to‑end ownership mindset.
• AI‑native: regularly uses AI tools in daily workflow.
• Experience with Claude Code or similar AI agents in development.
• Solid experience with REST APIs, third‑party integrations, error handling, and retries.
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL expertise.
• Cloud experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
