Mid-level Full Stack Engineer (Java, React, Kafka)

About the role

AgileEngine is seeking a mid‑level Full Stack Engineer to support and evolve a live Hiring Events platform that operates in a high‑production, real‑time environment. You will work on both backend services built with Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, and frontend experiences powered by React, while collaborating closely with Client Support and GTM teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to live hiring events.
• Collaborate with Client Support and GTM teams to triage and prioritize support requests.
• Monitor production systems, respond to alerts, incidents, and performance degradation.
• Maintain and improve backend and frontend systems powering hiring events and lobby experiences.
• Own deployments, code merges, and production releases.
• Mentor, onboard, and support other engineers joining the team.
• Use data and logs to investigate and troubleshoot production incidents.
• Contribute to technical prioritization and strategic decision‑making across multiple projects.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to ramp up quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency.
