Family Practitioner / General Practitioner – Nelson, BC

About the role

We are seeking a Family Practitioner or General Practitioner to join our well‑established clinic in Nelson. The position offers a flexible, innovative environment with both in‑person and virtual patient care, full EMR support, and on‑site billing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to families and individuals.
• Manage pain‑related conditions, with training available for those new to pain management.
• Conduct virtual consultations for patients unable to travel.
• Document all encounters using the clinic’s EMR system.
• Handle billing processes on site and collaborate with administrative staff.
• Accept referrals from surrounding areas and contribute to practice growth.

Required profile

• Current medical licence to practice as a Family Practitioner/General Practitioner.
• Interest in pain management; willingness to undergo training if needed.
• Comfortable working in a team‑oriented, flexible clinic setting.
• Ability to manage both on‑site and virtual patient interactions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Experience using virtual health platforms for remote consultations.
