DevOps Engineer – AWS Data Platform

About the role

Blend is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its growing cloud delivery team. You will help design, build, and operate a modern AWS‑based data platform, working closely with a Senior Platform Lead to deliver scalable and secure data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CDK following established patterns.
• Create reusable modules for AWS services such as Glue, S3, Lake Formation, IAM, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, linting, and deployments across dev, staging, and production.
• Implement monitoring and observability solutions with CloudWatch, including dashboards, alerts, and automated notifications.
• Manage environment provisioning, release orchestration, and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services services.
• Proficiency with Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and alerting tools.
• Understanding of infrastructure security, IAM, and cloud governance best practices.
