Bilingual Virtual Medical Receptionist (Remote)

About the role

We are an emerging orthopedic subspecialty practice based in Austin, Texas, seeking a bilingual Virtual Medical Receptionist to become the first point of contact for our patients. This fully remote position allows you to shape the patient experience from day one while working a flexible afternoon schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls, return messages, and set up appointments with a warm, professional tone.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments accurately using the Tebra EHR system.
• Provide bilingual support in English and Spanish to ensure every patient feels understood.
• Maintain and update patient records in Tebra.
• Triage calls and direct patients to the appropriate clinical resource.
• Assist with email coordination, calendar management, and basic billing support.
• Collaborate with in‑office staff to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• Fluent verbal and written English and Spanish.
• Customer service experience, preferably in a medical or clinical environment.
• Comfortable working Monday‑Friday afternoons.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
