Architectural Designer – Interior Workplace

About the role

Gensler is seeking an Architectural Designer focused on interior workplace projects. You will work closely with the Design Director and senior designers to shape concepts that blend beauty, functionality, and brand identity across diverse environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Design Director and Senior Designer in creating overall design concepts.
• Develop presentation strategies and lead multiple design teams through all project phases.
• Collaborate on programming, strategy, client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, contractors, and vendors to meet project objectives.
• Produce plans, elevations, details, specifications, material selections, and finish plans.
• Manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination.
• Maintain productive client relationships and contribute to office culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or foreign equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in an architectural practice with interior workplace focus.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and structural systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Proven leadership, relationship‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in SketchUp.
• Proficiency in Photoshop.
• Proficiency in InDesign.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Hand rendering techniques (a plus).
