Accounts Payable Accountant – Shared Services

About the role

Join EPAM's Argentina‑based Global Shared Services team as a Middle Accountant focused on Accounts Payable. You will ensure accurate US GAAP expense records, manage payment workflows, and support month‑end activities in SAP.

Key responsibilities

• Assess expenditure support documents and verify accounting details.
• Coordinate bank payments to EPAM partners, including local and international transfers.
• Maintain US GAAP expense records by category and document AP and banking transactions.
• Run monthly closing activities for designated accounts in SAP following company guidelines.
• Interact with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping questions.
• Provide explanations and backup documentation to Senior or Lead Accountants upon request.
• Answer internal and external inquiries, attend meetings, and supply audit support documentation.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives with the IT team, identify enhancements, and participate in testing new solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Advanced MS Office knowledge with strong Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong compliance orientation.
• Ownership mindset, ability to work within established policies, and commitment to continuous learning.
• Experience collaborating in diverse, multicultural teams.
• English proficiency at B2+ level (spoken and written).
• Nice to have: ACCA or DipIFR qualification, SAP experience, understanding of AP or Treasury functions.
