Senior Software Engineer – Java (Finance)

About the role

JPMorgan Chase is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join its Global Technology team. You will work in an agile environment to design, develop and maintain high‑performance, secure financial technology solutions that serve millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, resilient systems using Java or Python.
• Write secure, high‑quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with core systems.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts while ensuring design constraints are met.
• Analyze large data sets to create visualizations and reporting that drive continuous improvement.
• Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve code hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to engineering communities, share knowledge of emerging technologies and support a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and respect.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and familiarity with the software development life‑cycle.
• Understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, application resiliency and security.
• Knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, mobile or related technical disciplines is a plus.
