Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Chevron Global Business Services (GBS) in Buenos Aires is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join its IT team. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions on Microsoft Azure while collaborating with business stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver complex software features and components with high quality and minimal supervision.
• Allocate effort across development, bug fixing, refactoring, and technical improvements.
• Take ownership of technical tasks from design through implementation and support.
• Balance feature delivery with technical debt reduction and code‑quality improvements.
• Support production issues, participate in root‑cause analysis, and contribute to sprint planning.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with C#/.NET (Framework and .NET Core/.NET 8+).
• 3+ years of experience with TypeScript and frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
• At least 2 years of experience with relational databases (SQL, DML, DDL, data modeling).
• 2+ years of experience on Azure cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• 3+ years building and consuming REST APIs.
• 3+ years applying software design principles, clean code, refactoring, and debugging.
