Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our Customer Focus Group (CFG). This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, architecture, and customer engagement, allowing you to work directly with customers and internal teams to shape product improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand technical needs, challenges, and product gaps.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, customer success, and management to feed customer feedback into development.
• Design, develop, and deliver backend features, integrations, and solutions that address customer requirements.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues across architecture, infrastructure, performance, and scalability.
• Contribute to backend architecture decisions, API design, system design, and technical best practices.
• Support customer‑facing technical discussions with deep product and engineering expertise.
• Help improve reliability, performance, scalability, and overall customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend development experience, preferably on customer‑facing products.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across globally distributed teams.
• Experience working in agile development environments.

• Node.js and TypeScript
• Microservices architecture, API design, distributed systems, design patterns
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP (serverless, managed databases, storage, queues, observability)
• SQL and NoSQL databases
