Director, Agribusiness Products – North & South LAC

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director to shape and execute its Agribusiness strategy across North and South Latin America and the Caribbean. The role focuses on key markets such as Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Mexico and selected Central American countries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of agribusiness value chains and economics to drive stakeholder value.
• Lead the design, development and execution of Mastercard’s agribusiness strategy across the region.
• Design and launch competitive digital payment, platform and data‑driven products for buyers, suppliers, financial institutions and ecosystem enablers.
• Build and maintain relationships with cooperatives, producers, suppliers, processors, buyers and financial institutions.
• Identify and remove barriers to card acceptance, working with acquirers and partners to capture B2B payment flows.
• Forge partnerships and strategic alliances to expand Mastercard’s presence in the agribusiness segment.
• Monitor regional market trends, regulatory changes and technological innovations relevant to agribusiness and commercial payments.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Products, Sales, Pricing, Finance, Customer Delivery) to ensure alignment and successful execution.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in agribusiness, commercial payments or financial services with direct exposure to agricultural value chains and supply‑chain dynamics.
• Strong knowledge of agribusiness ecosystems and the ability to translate that knowledge into payment and technology solutions.
