Data Scientist – Machine Learning & Databricks (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join a fast‑growing U.S. marketing intelligence company operating on a cloud‑native Databricks Lakehouse platform. You will design datasets, engineer features, and build machine‑learning models that power marketing insights for over 1,000 dealer clients.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines and transformations in Databricks using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Perform exploratory data analysis on marketing, campaign, and customer data.
• Engineer features, prepare training sets, and train, evaluate, and tune ML models.
• Support model deployment and monitoring in production alongside senior engineers.
• Investigate and resolve data‑quality issues in source feeds and pipelines.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
• Write tests, data‑validation checks, and document datasets, features, and model assumptions.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics engineering (including internships or research projects).
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong written and spoken English to explain complex findings.

• Familiarity with AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
