Associate Localization Engineer (Buenos Aires)

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Localization Engineer to join our Buenos Aires team. You will work closely with Localization Engineers and Technology Project Managers to troubleshoot and develop solutions for file preparation, translation memory management, and workflow automation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support to Production and Sales teams under senior guidance.
• Assist Project Managers and Linguists in troubleshooting translation process issues.
• Prepare various file types for localization, ensuring client compliance.
• Automate file analysis, parsing, and filtering.
• Perform quality assurance on translated files and manage Translation Memories.
• Validate new features in CAT tools and related products.
• Write scripts or macros to automate repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to report and test bug fixes.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• Fluency in English.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Strong communication, organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team‑player attitude with analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Python, VB, VBA, C++, Perl, ASP, Java, JSP.
• Markup languages: XML, HTML, XLIFF.
• Proficiency with Windows operating system.
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Adobe software.
