Senior Backend Developer (AI Pods)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our AI Pods team and build trustworthy AI‑driven API services. You will enable large language models to interact with internal systems, vector databases and external tools through robust orchestration frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend API services with LLM orchestration layers.
• Build and maintain advanced Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including document ingestion, chunking, embedding and retrieval optimization.
• Develop agent tools using LangChain, LangGraph and potentially the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Ensure security, privacy, observability and comprehensive test coverage across all workflows.
• Drive architecture decisions and set engineering standards within the pod.
• Collaborate with frontend, data and infrastructure teams.
• Own API contracts, service reliability and graceful failure handling for AI edge cases.
• Provide reusable orchestration frameworks for downstream developers.

Required profile

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• 2+ years of Python development for high‑performance, cloud‑native APIs.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Docker and ECS/EKS.
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs and applying secure coding practices with solid auth/authz knowledge.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency (B2).
