Technology Consultant – Permanent Expat Role in Saudi Arabia

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Technology Consultant to join the Global Manufacturing Excellence Digitalization and Technology Division. The role is based in Saudi Arabia and includes a permanent full‑time expatriate relocation package.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end implementation of technologies across downstream assets such as petrochemical facilities, refineries, terminals, bulk plants and gas plants.
• Develop technology roadmaps that address energy optimisation, sustainability, plant availability, debottlenecking and process optimisation.
• Accelerate technology deployment by coordinating with internal teams, external execution agencies and vendors.
• Conduct feasibility studies, including technical and economic evaluations of new solutions and platforms.
• Perform technology scouting to identify innovative, value‑adding technologies.
• Prepare business cases and cost‑benefit analyses for technology deployments.
• Collaborate with consultants, engineers and project managers to deliver comprehensive technical and business solutions.
• Produce reports and presentations for peers, stakeholders and senior management.
• Work with technology providers to develop and deliver tailored training programs for end‑users.
• Identify and recommend changes to standards and governance to ensure compliance with corporate policies.
• Monitor global and regional oil‑and‑gas trends, market conditions and regulatory changes that may impact technology implementations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical); Master’s degree preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience as a Technology Consultant driving ideation, scouting, introduction and tracking of technology deployments.
• Strong understanding of downstream technologies and processes.
