Sports Media Localization Editor – Spanish

About the role

North Star Network is seeking a Spanish-language Sports Media Localization Editor to adapt prediction and “where to watch” articles for Spanish‑speaking markets during the 2026 World Cup. The role is fully remote and runs from 9 June to 18 July 2026, with the possibility of further assignments based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Translate and localise sports articles from an English‑language source into Spanish for Spain, Peru, Argentina and Mexico.
• Generate and optimise articles using AI tools while adhering to SEO best practices.
• Insert betting call‑to‑actions where required and ensure factual accuracy through proof‑reading and fact‑checking.
• Publish the final content on the company’s CMS and document completed work in the assignment rota.
• Meet daily deadlines (approximately 1–1.5 hours of work) and maintain clear communication with the point of contact.

Required profile

• Native or fluent Spanish speaker with workable English for internal communication.
• Strong knowledge of sports and major international competitions.
• Excellent attention to detail, proofreading ability and capacity to adapt content for different Spanish‑speaking markets.
• Reliable, organised and able to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Use of AI‑assisted writing tools.
• Application of SEO guidelines.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms, preferably WordPress.
