Software Product Engineer (LATAM)

About the role

SkillAxis is looking for a Software Product Engineer to join its LATAM team. You will work remotely from anywhere in Latin America, collaborating closely with the NYC office and US customers to ship features, fix bugs, and evolve the platform’s data models.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship features end‑to‑end, from schema changes through APIs, frontend, and instrumentation.
• Own and evolve multi‑tenant data models, including migrations, denormalization, indexing, and schema safety.
• Tri­age and resolve customer‑reported bugs during a daily support block aligned with US business hours.
• Develop AI‑native features such as in‑app assistants, automated document generation, and conversion of unstructured inputs (voice, photos, scans) into structured records.
• Review AI‑augmented pull requests, ensuring proper instrumentation, tenant isolation, error handling, and migration risk.
• Partner with co‑founders to refine the product for scale across multiple contractors and pilots.

Required profile

• Strong ownership mindset, able to manage the full lifecycle of a feature.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, remote environment with overlapping hours with US teams.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on reliability and data integrity.

Required skills

• Data modeling and schema migration experience.
• API development and integration.
