Software Engineer – Contract (Remote, Argentina)

About the role

Greenhouse is looking for an independent contractor to join its Enterprise Apps team and help build an AI‑native operating layer that automates internal workflows. Over a 12‑month remote engagement, you will work with cross‑functional leaders to design, develop, and ship high‑quality features for the company’s web‑based applications.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Talent Acquisition, Customer Success, Marketing, Solutions, IT and Finance to identify automation opportunities.
• Design, implement, and maintain web application features, fixes, and performance improvements.
• Contribute to the technical architecture of emerging AI and automation systems.
• Ensure stability, reliability, and scalability of the platform in a distributed, US‑Canada‑based team.
• Deliver end‑to‑end solutions in accordance with the statement of work and agreed deliverables.

Required profile

• Systems thinker who enjoys shaping technical direction for complex AI‑driven platforms.
• High‑impact problem‑solver able to prioritize valuable automation projects.
• Self‑managed contractor comfortable working remotely with reasonable availability for coordination.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments.

Required skills

• Web application development experience.
• Familiarity with AI and automation tooling.
