Registered Nurse – Day Surgery (Nurse 2)

About the role

The Day Surgery unit at Concordia Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (Nurse 2) to deliver high‑quality nursing care to patients undergoing same‑day procedures. Working under the general supervision of the Manager, Health Services, you will support patients with complex and unpredictable health needs, administer prescribed treatments, and coordinate care and discharge planning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing assessments and interventions for day‑surgery patients.
• Administer medications and medical treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Lead and collaborate with the multidisciplinary health‑care team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and uphold the values of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing program.
• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
• Minimum one (1) year of orthopedic surgical nursing experience (required).
• Additional experience in endoscopy, general surgery, or day‑surgery settings is preferred.
• Current CNA certification or equivalent for the program area.
