PHP Developer - Remote

About the role

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join our customer’s team on a remote contractor basis. You will work on an innovative AI agent project, using your expertise in PHP and Laravel to help train and fine‑tune AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust PHP applications using the Laravel framework.
• Collaborate with AI model trainers to structure data and workflows for AI training cycles.
• Contribute to the architecture and implementation of scalable, high‑performance back‑end systems.
• Translate functional requirements into efficient, reliable code.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce best‑practice standards.
• Communicate effectively with a distributed, remote team.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex back‑end issues during AI model training.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Proven ability to develop, test, and deploy production‑grade applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a remote environment.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and documentation.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously while contributing to team goals.
• Experience with data‑driven or AI‑related projects is a strong plus.
