Medical Monitor Associate – Dermatology & Rheumatology

About the role

The Medical Monitor Associate supports the Medical Monitoring team in overseeing clinical trials focused on dermatology and rheumatology. Reporting to the Manager of Medical Monitoring, the role blends scientific expertise with administrative duties to ensure safety and compliance across studies.

Key responsibilities

• Stay current on study protocols, amendments, Investigator’s Brochures and safety information.
• Assist in developing Medical Monitoring plans and attend cross‑functional project meetings.
• Enter medical queries in the Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system after safety data review.
• Support coding of adverse events, medical history and concomitant medications.
• Conduct photo reviews and evaluate efficacy scores.
• Maintain study and KPI trackers, manage document e‑signatures and SharePoint filing.
• Develop training content for project‑level medical indication sessions.
• Contribute to business development proposals and sales presentations.
• Assist in drafting SOPs and standard working practices for Medical Monitoring.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification in dermatology.
• At least 1 year experience in a CRO, pharmaceutical company, or as a clinical‑trial investigator.
• Experience as a medical monitor, medical reviewer, or drug‑safety physician is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of the drug development process and clinical‑research guidelines.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and translate scientific concepts into practical actions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
• Adverse event coding and data review.
• Use of SharePoint for document management.
