Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Urgent Care

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will join the Urgent Care team at Concordia Hospital, providing essential nursing care to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs. This full‑time, onsite position offers a dynamic mix of day, night, and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing care.
• Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications safely.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Uphold the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the health region and facility.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing education program.
• Recent related nursing experience; current emergency nursing experience preferred.
• Satisfactory employment record.
• Willingness to complete the full‑time WRHA Emergency Nursing Orientation (ENO) training program.

Required skills

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
• Completion of WRHA Emergency Nursing Orientation Level 1 within two months of hire.
