Lead Mobile Engineer – Crypto Wallets (Remote)

About the role

Tether is looking for a senior Lead Software Engineer to drive the development of high‑performance, lightweight mobile applications that integrate crypto wallets and DeFi features. You will work remotely with a diverse team of senior backend developers, product managers and leadership, shaping the next generation of fintech solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small group of React Native engineers, setting architectural direction and coding standards.
• Design and implement cutting‑edge mobile applications for crypto wallet and DeFi functionality.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and unblock mobile delivery.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Drive best practices in mobile engineering, performance optimization, and security.

Required profile

• Strong English communication skills.
• Proven experience leading mobile development teams in a remote environment.
• Passion for fintech, blockchain and crypto technologies.
• Ability to work autonomously and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
