Junior Retail Architect

About the role

Gensler is seeking a Junior Retail Architect to support retail and roll‑out projects. You will blend creativity with technical knowledge to guide clients through design, documentation, and construction phases.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate client interactions, project teams, and general contractors.
• Manage full documentation with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants.
• Maintain project manuals, specifications, and ensure code‑compliant drawings.
• Conduct on‑site observations, document reviews, and process submittals, RFIs, and substitution requests.
• Interface with building and permitting officials during permitting and construction.
• Support office culture and internal initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• 3+ years of architectural experience, including at least 1 year focused on retail.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience with U.S.‑based projects is desirable.
• Ability to produce clear technical documents and navigate building codes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit.
