J‑1 Visa Recruitment Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are a Miami‑based hospitality and recruitment agency expanding our U.S. operations with a dedicated J‑1 Visa recruitment service line. We seek an experienced J‑1 Visa Recruitment Specialist to lead the delivery of this program on a full‑time contractor basis, working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Source qualified J‑1 candidates from hospitality schools, universities and professional networks worldwide.
• Screen candidates for cultural fit, English proficiency, hospitality background and program eligibility.
• Manage candidate pipelines across multiple property types and keep records up‑to‑date in the ATS.
• Guide candidates through the J‑1 Visa process, including DS‑2019 forms, SEVIS fees, sponsor coordination and embassy appointment preparation.
• Coordinate with designated J‑1 sponsor organizations to ensure compliant and timely visa processing.
• Maintain relationships with U.S. hotel and restaurant partners, understand their staffing needs and present qualified candidates.
• Facilitate interviews, manage the selection process and act as the primary point of contact throughout placement.
• Prepare and review structured training plans tailored to each placement and property.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a recruiter handling J‑1 Visa candidates or similar cultural‑exchange programs.
• Strong knowledge of J‑1 program regulations, compliance requirements and U.S. immigration policy.
• Excellent candidate management and relationship‑building skills with both candidates and hospitality partners.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with business‑development and outreach teams.
