Finance Manager

About the role

Uproot Clean, a fast‑growing consumer brand for pet owners, is seeking a Finance Manager to own its accounting and financial operations. This fully remote position supports both ecommerce and retail channels and works closely with the VP of Operations to drive data‑driven growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including month‑end close and preparation of financial statements.
• Reduce month‑end close timeline from five days to three days by identifying and eliminating inefficiencies.
• Oversee bookkeeping team and accounts payable clerk, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain cost and inventory accounting, applying landed costs and providing margin visibility.
• Produce regular financial reports and analyses to support operational decision‑making.
• Develop scalable processes, documentation, and workflow improvements.

Required profile

• 1+ year experience in ecommerce or direct‑to‑consumer finance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the full accounting cycle and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.
• Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑growth environment.
