Engineering Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader to head a small, high‑performing engineering group in Argentina. This remote, high‑impact role blends people leadership with hands‑on development, driving product delivery, technical decisions, and modern AI‑driven workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 3‑5 engineers, ensuring quality delivery and healthy dynamics.
• Balance leadership duties with active contribution to product development.
• Own hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of team members.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching, and mentorship.
• Drive planning, prioritization, and execution focused on efficiency and outcomes.
• Serve as the primary spokesperson for the team, aligning with stakeholders.
• Define and implement AI‑enabled engineering workflows to improve speed, quality, and scalability.
• Introduce verification mechanisms such as testing, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Collaborate across functions to enhance processes, system design, and organizational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing 2‑5 engineers with responsibility for performance and delivery.
• Strong backend engineering background with production experience.
• Track record of shipping secure, scalable, reliable software in complex environments.
• Experience designing or adopting automation, workflow orchestration, or agentic systems.
• Excellent systems‑thinking ability and clear communication skills.
• Leadership mindset focused on continuous improvement.
