About the role

Political Asylum Lawyers is seeking a Controller to lead the firm’s financial operations. This position supports the Owner, CFO, and senior leadership by turning financial data into clear insights that drive budgeting, profitability, cash management, and strategic planning.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations, including accounting systems, billing, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, financial reports, and payroll oversight.
• Coordinate tax reporting and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and finance‑related operational projects.
• Provide first‑level financial analysis and operational financial control.
• Translate complex financial information into plain English for leadership.
• Identify financial risks, recommend corrective actions, and uphold strong financial discipline as the firm grows.
