Accounting Manager (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to lead our remote accounting team and provide founders of eCommerce brands with clean, reliable financials. The role combines people leadership with full‑cycle accounting oversight in a tech‑forward, fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of accountants, ensuring accurate and timely deliverables.
• Oversee full‑cycle accounting, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and month‑end close for multiple client files.
• Maintain and improve UpCounting’s accounting processes and operational excellence.
• Communicate financial insights to clients, supporting their decision‑making.
• Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with controllers and senior leadership to streamline workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in accounting management, preferably in a multi‑client or firm setting.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a calm, structured style.
• Experience with FP&A or financial modeling is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero (NetSuite a bonus).
• Hands‑on experience with automation tools and process improvement.
• Solid foundation in full‑cycle accounting, reconciliations, and month‑end processes.
