Accounting Analyst

About the role

Syneos Health is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support accurate monthly, quarterly and year‑end close processes while ensuring compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley controls. The role works in a hybrid setting, collaborating with global finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules for the general ledger.
• Assist with intercompany reconciliations, invoice processing and expense analysis.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, update process documentation and support audit deliverables.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects, integrate new accounting standards and identify process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum three years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in CRO or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience working in an internationally oriented organization and with large ERP systems.

Required skills

• Knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Proficiency with Oracle Financials (or similar ERP).
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
